Professional development plans (PDPs) are a mandatory component of the APHRA CPD registration  standards.

PDPs are written statements that outline learning and development goals. The process of creating a PDP generally involves a consideration of one's identified learning needs, a translation of these into goals (intended outcomes) and a description of the actions that will be taken to achieve the goals.

The SMART goals acronym (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely) is a popular cognitive aid that helps us write goals that will be achieved.

Your CPD Home may provide guidance and a template for a PDP.
